The competition

The competition is structured according to the number of participating teams. Registration and country of origin is dependent on the guidelines of the International Federation. There are 16 participating teams.

All matches in the competition are scheduled to take place in morning, afternoon and evening sessions at the Municipal Olympic Pavilion.

Preliminary phase

Days 1, 2 and 3

During the preliminary phase, the teams will be divided into four groups of four teams, with two matches from each group being played during each session, at 9.00, 10.30, 12.00, 15.30, 17.00, 18.30, 20.00, and 21.30.

The official opening of the Championship and the opening ceremony will take place on the first day of competition.

Day of rest

Day 4

The rest day will be used for a gathering of the representatives of the participating teams.

Final phase

Day 5

Once the first three days of competition have been played during the preliminary phase, the two leading teams from each group will compete in the quarter finals, with the eliminated teams competing in the morning for 9th to 16th place.

Day 6

The winners from the quarter finals will compete in the two semi-finals, with the eliminated teams competing for 9th to 16th and 5th to 8th place.

Day 7

The remaining classifying matches for 5th to 8th place will be played. The match for 3rd and 4th place and the grand final will be played. Following this, all the participating teams will gather in the rink for the presentation of trophies and medals and for the proclamation of the winning team of the Roller Hockey Club World Championship.
